Recap: Parma Panthers vs. McCall-Donnelly Vandals
The Parma Panthers waltzed into their match Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against McCall-Donnelly by a score of 52-43. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but Parma was the better team in the second half.
McCall-Donnelly's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izzy Tinney, who scored 14 points. Rylee Arnold was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Parma's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for McCall-Donnelly, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parma will be home for the holidays to greet Melba at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Melba is ranked 39th, while Parma is ranked 26th). McCall-Donnelly will be home for the holidays to greet Cascade at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cascade is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
