Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Vikings vs. Lone Peak Knights

Pleasant Grove hasn't had much luck against Lone Peak recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pleasant Grove Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Lone Peak Knights at 6:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove will be strutting in after a victory while Lone Peak will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Pleasant Grove strolled past Varsity Opponent with points to spare, taking the game 40-26. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Lone Peak unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 55-40 to Copper Hills.

Pleasant Grove is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Lone Peak, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Pleasant Grove was taken down by Lone Peak 73-21 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pleasant Grove was down 47-12.
