Volleyball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover was the 3-0 winner over Sierra when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hoover sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 12-25, 15-13.

Despite the defeat, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madison Vang had 15 digs.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Sierra, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Hoover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hanford on the 30th. As for Sierra, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Sanger West on the 30th.
