Volleyball Recap: Marlborough Falls Short Against Ranked Lexington

Marlborough faced Lexington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Minutemen, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Marlborough took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-23.

Jake Siegel was the offensive standout of the game as he had 19 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 14 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marlborough fell to 6-1. As for Lexington, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.
