Volleyball Recap: Buffalo Grove's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Buffalo Grove came into Tuesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Schaumburg Saxons by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Schaumburg still got an impressive performance from Larisa Baldwin, who had 11 digs and two assists.

Buffalo Grove's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Schaumburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-21 record this season.

Buffalo Grove will face off against Normal West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Schaumburg, after both having extra time off, they and Hersey will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
