             It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hatch Valley had no problem doing just that  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes by a score of  28-20. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Bears.
  Orrin Russell was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 236 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Those 236  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  OMAR GONZALEZ, who threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes.
 Hatch Valley is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record  this season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Pojoaque Valley, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record  this season.
 Hatch Valley will face off against Dexter at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Dexter will roll in looking for their  11th straight  win, something Hatch Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Pojoaque Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
