Soccer Game Preview: Creekview vs. Highland Park

Creekview is 0-7 against Highland Park since March of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Creekview Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highland Park Scots at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Creekview played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They beat Newman Smith by a goal, winning 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.

Caroline Ready and Ayeza Salas scored both of Creekview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Highland Park had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Lions onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Scots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by four goals or more this season.

Highland Park's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Creekview, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-7.
