Football Game Preview: Riverside Vikings vs. Susquehanna Sabers

The Riverside Vikings will head out to take on the Susquehanna Sabers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Susquehanna took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside, who comes in off a win.

Riverside is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Montrose, posting a 60-6 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Vikings with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Susquehanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Lakeland, falling 42-7. The Sabers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

The win made it two in a row for Riverside and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 13 points in those games. As for Susquehanna, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Riverside was able to grind out a solid win over Susquehanna in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 34-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
