 It was a good run, but  Chamberlain unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the King Lions by a score of  9-8. Chamberlain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as King apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March.
 Chamberlain got a good showing from  Grant Link, who   pitched four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. Link has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Jaden Hyde was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Wormack, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 On King's side,  Caden Harrier looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Cooper Messenger was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.  Nico Brown was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for King, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
 Chamberlain is on the road again  on Friday to play Alonso at 4:00  p.m. Alonso is coming into the  match with four straight  wins at home,  so Chamberlain will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum. As for King, they will head out on the road to  take on  East Bay at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. East Bay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season.
