Academy of Science and Innovation waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They really took it to Achievement First for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-27 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-15.

Ibrahim Sidik was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 10 en route to 20 points and four blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Warlin Franco was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and four steals.

Academy of Science and Innovation pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Achievement First, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens challenge the Civic Leadership Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Academy of Science and Innovation's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Achievement First, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
