Baseball Recap: North Olmsted Takes a Loss

North Olmsted was the 3-2 winner over Normandy when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Invaders on Monday.

North Olmsted saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Burger, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Burger is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 3-6-1 when he doesn't). Kody Schneid was another, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs.

North Olmsted's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Normandy, they moved to 5-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Invaders beat North Olmsted by a score of 7-4 later that day.
