Basketball Recap: Pacific Union College Prep Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Pacific Union College Prep finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rio Lindo Adventist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jhordany Barcenas led the charge by going 5-for-12 on his way to 12 points. Barcenas is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Stephens, who posted eight points along with seven boards and four steals.

Pacific Union College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Pacific Union College Prep nor Rio Lindo Adventist have any future games scheduled.
