Baseball Recap: Hoxie Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hoxie's offense. They came up short against the Rivercrest Colts on Thursday, falling 15-0. The Mustangs have struggled against the Colts recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Hoxie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Rivercrest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoxie will venture away from home to challenge East Poinsett County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rivercrest, they are taking a road trip to face off against Marked Tree at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Colts are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
