Basketball Recap: Washington-Liberty's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Washington-Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 53-38 to the Langley Saxons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Saxons are ranked 15th).

Washington-Liberty's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Langley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington-Liberty has already played their next matchup (against Yorktown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Langley will head out on the road to challenge Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
