Basketball Recap: Balboa Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Balboa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 77-70 victory over the Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks on Tuesday. Given the Roughriders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Seahawks are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

BwaBwa Josue had a dynamite game for Balboa, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Josue is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Vito Albanese, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Balboa's record is now 11-20. As for Jordan Christian Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing West Oaks Academy the next time they take the court. Balboa will head out to face West Oaks Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Jordan Christian Prep will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
