Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Three Rivers). They put the hurt on the Aransas Pass Panthers with a sharp 22-0 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Alyson Gomez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had over her last 15 contests. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kylee Garcia was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles.
