Enterprise and Providence Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Enterprise Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Providence Christian Eagles at 11:00 a.m. Enterprise will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

On Tuesday, Enterprise was able to grind out a solid victory over Pike Liberal Arts, taking the game 7-4.

The team relied heavily on Mikey Vanderheyden, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Kaden Hirsch was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Providence Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Long. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Providence Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Martin Byrd, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Another was David McClurkin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Providence Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Enterprise, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

Providence Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Enterprise has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. It's a different story for Providence Christian, though, as they've only averaged .340. Will they be able to contain Enterprise's hitters?
