Baseball Recap: West Rebels vs. Sevier County Smoky Bears
West barely beat Sevier County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The West Rebels were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Sevier County Smoky Bears on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rebels needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Isaac Hunter looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Harris Eddins was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Xan Scheidecker, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4.
West lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
West has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Sevier County's loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Coincidentally, West and Sevier County will both be playing Morristown-Hamblen West the next time they take the field. West will head out to face Morristown-Hamblen West at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Sevier County will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
