Baseball Game Preview: Jackson HomeSchool Victors vs. Newton County Academy Generals

The Jackson HomeSchool Victors are taking a road trip to take on the Newton County Academy Generals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Wednesday, Jackson HomeSchool came up short against Hattiesburg HomeSchool and fell 4-1. The Victors have struggled against the Forerunners recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Newton County Academy's offense. They came up short against East Rankin Academy on Tuesday, falling 12-0.

Jackson HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Newton County Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Jackson HomeSchool suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Newton County Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2016. Can Jackson HomeSchool avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
