Bishop Hartley extended the longest winning streak in Central Catholic - Gold this week by beating Ironton, 62-6. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Bishop Hartley took down the Fighting Tigers 62-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sam MacKowiak ran for 150 yards in the win.
Brad Burchfield's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jared Brandewie threw for 56 and one touchdown and Dominique Scott had 36 yards receiving. Jacob Matuska helped Bishop Hartley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Bishop Hartley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brandewie has thrown for 691 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Scott has 10 catches for 281 yards. Ja'wuan Woodley leads the league in rushing with 1094 yards.
The Hawks made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 143 from 395. The advance stemmed from a 62-6 victory over Ironton last week.
