Meanwhile, Bridgeport Central suffered their biggest loss since May 10, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against New Canaan, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

While Bridgeport Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into New Canaan's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-22.

McMahon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bridgeport Central, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.
