Baseball Game Preview: Pearl Pirates vs. Brandon Bulldogs

Pearl hasn't had much luck against Brandon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Pearl will welcome Brandon at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pearl fell victim to Northwest Rankin and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-0. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Brandon suffered their biggest defeat since March 7th on Saturday. They lost 9-2 to Neville.

Brandon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tai Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave Jones a new career-high.

Pearl's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Brandon, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Pearl suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Brandon when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Pearl avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
