Pomona is 0-5 against Green Mountain since April of 2023 but things could change on Saturday. The Panthers will welcome the Rams at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Pomona turned things around against Wheat Ridge on Friday. They blew past the Farmers 12-2. The Panthers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 13-2).
Brayden Richards made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Pomona got a massive performance out of Spencer Werner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave Werner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tavin Caldwell, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Pomona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over Littleton.
The team relied heavily on Sam Desalvo, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Pomona's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Green Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7-1.
