Softball Game Preview: Head-Royce Jayhawks vs. Hercules Titans

The Head-Royce Jayhawks will take on the Hercules Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Head-Royce has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Hercules will arrive with six straight wins.

Head-Royce played against University two weeks ago and lost via forfeit.

Hercules took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Justin-Siena, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Braves on Monday, sneaking past 19-18.

Hercules' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.8 runs over those games. As for Head-Royce, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
