Softball Game Preview: Deming Wildcats vs. Mescalero Apache Chiefs

The Deming Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Mescalero Apache Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Deming has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Deming fell victim to Los Lunas and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mescalero Apache was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 29-18 to Socorro. One positive for the Chiefs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Mescalero Apache's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Deming, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
