Baseball Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

The Linsly School hit Pendleton County with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcat took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cadets. The Wildcat just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Jaxon Simon was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Mason Harper also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pendleton County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for The Linsly School, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1.

Coincidentally, Pendleton County and The Linsly School will both be playing North Marion the next time they take the field. The Cadets will host the Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcat will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
