Baseball Recap: Central Falls Short Against Ranked Tolman

Central faced Tolman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights lost 7-1 to the Tigers. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maikel Alcantara, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for Tolman, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Central has already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against East Greenwich on the 18th. As for Tolman, they will welcome Classical at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Purple at the right time seeing as the Purple are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
