Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 9-10. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warsaw Tigers. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in September of 2021.

As for Warsaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 13th.

Ellie Hepler was nothing short of spectacular: she had 17 digs and two aces. Alayna Lantz also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Fairfield has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Leo on the 27th. As for Warsaw, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against West Noble on the 27th.
