Soccer Recap: Richland County Comes Up Short

Richland County managed to slip by Mattoon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Greenwave on Saturday. Richland County's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Richland County's loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for Mattoon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.

Richland County is on the road again on Saturday to play Newton at 12:00 p.m. As for Mattoon, they will take on Lincoln in a tournament on Saturday.
