Weddington has gone a perfect 10-0 against Piedmont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Weddington is headed into Wednesday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since the 1st. Neither they nor Porter Ridge could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Weddington got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Meanwhile, Piedmont had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a goal and slipped past Sun Valley 4-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Piedmont's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Piedmont's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9-1 and their overall record up to 4-13-4. With that draw, Weddington's record moves to 7-9-4.

Everything went Weddington's way against Piedmont when the teams last played on October 6th, as Weddington made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
