Baseball Recap: Eastern Eagles vs. Huntington Huntsmen
It's playoff time, and Eastern had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Huntington Huntsmen by a score of 9-6 on Saturday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Huntsmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2019.

Ethan Edwards was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since May 2nd. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hunter Needs was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Ayden Wilhelm was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huntington only posted a batting average of .200.
The win (which was Eastern's third in a row) raised their record to 22-6. As for Huntington, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.
As of now, neither Eastern nor the Huntsmen have any future games scheduled.
