Basketball Recap: Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering Comes Up Short

Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the McKinley Tech Trainers and fell 51-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 40-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.

McKinley Tech was led to victory by Chiagoziem Njoku and Jemima Bomoyi. Njoku dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten steals, while Bomoyi almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine steals. Those ten steals gave Njoku a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daisy Gomez, who posted six points and six steals.

Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for McKinley Tech, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
