Baseball Game Preview: Linden Tigers vs. Hillside Comets

For the second straight game, Linden will face off against Hillside. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Linden is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Linden came into this matchup off a tough nine-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Hillside by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lucas Robel made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hillside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
