Coral Reef is 3-0 against Hialeah Gardens since September of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Coral Reef Barracudas will be playing at home against the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators at 6:00 p.m.
After a string of four wins, Coral Reef's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 37-13 walloping at the hands of Ferguson. Coral Reef was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
Coral Reef's loss came about despite a quality game from Mayson Mendez, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown. Mendez really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Meanwhile, Hialeah Gardens got themselves on the board against Hialeah-Miami Lakes on Thursday, but Hialeah-Miami Lakes never followed suit. They breezed by the Trojans on the road to the tune of 28-0.
Coral Reef's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Hialeah Gardens, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Coral Reef against Hialeah Gardens in their previous meeting back in September as the squad secured a 28-0 win. Will Coral Reef repeat their success, or does Hialeah Gardens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
