Soccer Recap: St. Genevieve Takes a Loss

St. Genevieve was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Anthony Saints. That's two games in a row now that the Valiants have lost by just one goal.

St. Genevieve's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for St. Anthony, they now have a winning record of 4-3-3.

St. Genevieve will welcome Verbum Dei Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Anthony, they will challenge Bishop Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Anthony's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
