Volleyball Recap: West Field Longhorns vs. Weber Warriors

West Field took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Weber, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Longhorns came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. For the Longhorns, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

West Field took Weber into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-23, 25-17, 23-25, 15-7.

Ainsley Schiffman paced West Field's offense, picking up 16 kills. Schiffman got some help from Halia Fonotisatele and her 22 assists. Fonotisatele was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Despite the loss, Weber still got an impressive performance from Tesyn Stewart, who had 18 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Macey Montano, who had 15 digs.
