Bowsher is 0-4 against Lima Senior since August of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The BlueRacers will take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Bowsher was able to grind out a solid victory over Scott, taking the game 14-6.
Bowsher found their leader in sophomore Noah Eze, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Bowsher's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Christopher Morehead and Ezreal Burrell Smith, who racked up all eight sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Lima Senior waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Start 43-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lima Senior's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Start is ranked 490th).
Lima Senior's win came from a few key players Bowsher will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ja'Niaus Avanti K'Mere Hall, who threw for 363 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 104 yards on only nine carries. Those 104 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. 92 of Avanti K'Mere Hall's passing yards were hauled in by Jermaine Maxwell, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.
Lima Senior didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jay Jones. Jay'Von Batts was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Bowsher's record now sits at 2-5. As for Lima Senior, their record is now 5-2.
Bowsher was taken down by Lima Senior 51-14 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Avanti K'Mere Hall, who threw for 521 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt. Now that the BlueRacers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
