Football Recap: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Lane Tech Champions
Westinghouse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 25-18 to the Lane Tech Champions. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Champions are ranked fifth).
Lane Tech can attribute much of their success to Alaina Valmassei, who threw for 135 yards and four touchdowns.
Westinghouse now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lane Tech, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Westinghouse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lane Tech, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 36-0 win vs. Amundsen on the 28th.
