Soccer Game Preview: South Whidbey vs. Sultan

South Whidbey is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will challenge the Sultan Turks at 5:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when South Whidbey faced off against Overlake on Wednesday. South Whidbey lost 11-0 to Overlake. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Owls recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Sultan made sure to put some goals up on the board against Rainier Beach on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Vikings. Considering the Turks' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Sultan's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Whidbey, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
