Softball Recap: North Pontotoc Has No Trouble Against Biggersville

North Pontotoc never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Biggersville on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 12-1 win.

Hailey Pitts looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kinsley Frazier was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Sadie Rhea was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

North Pontotoc lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

North Pontotoc is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. Biggersville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

North Pontotoc has already played their next game (against Hickory Flat), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Biggersville, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against New Albany on the 13th.
