Volleyball Recap: Denton Comes Up Short

Denton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Colleyville Heritage Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-15.

Colleyville Heritage was led to victory by Maddie Yearian and Jaymes Pruitt. Yearian had three digs and three aces, while Pruitt had 14 digs and two aces. Yearian is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Denton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Colleyville Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 22-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Denton will challenge rival Argyle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage is set to square off against their familiar foe Ryan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
