Football Game Preview: South Central Calhoun vs. Southeast Valley

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for South Central Calhoun. On Friday they take on Southeast Valley at 7:00 PM. Southeast Valley will need to watch out since South Central Calhoun have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

Last Friday, South Central Calhoun were putting the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on IKM/Manning to the tune of 38-0.

Meanwhile, Southeast Valley fought the good fight in their overtime matchup but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to Belmond-Klemme 36-43. The match was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Southeast Valley were outplayed the rest of the way.

South Central Calhoun's win lifted them to 3-0 while Southeast Valley's defeat dropped them down to 2-1. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
