Soccer Recap: South Webster Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lynchburg-Clay

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Webster had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs a 4-0 shutout. South Webster's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

South Webster pushed their record up to 16-1-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven matches. As for Lynchburg-Clay, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 14-5-1.
