Football Recap: Hempstead Comes Up Short

Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hallettsville Brahmas 49-21. The Bobcats lost against the Brahmas in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-3 score last time.

Hempstead's record now sits at 1-8. As for Hallettsville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Hempstead and Hallettsville will both be playing Columbus the next time they take the field. The Brahmas will host the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
