Baseball Recap: West Carroll Thunder vs. East Dubuque Warriors

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They came up short against the East Dubuque Warriors, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

West Carroll saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Herpstreith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Winter Harrington was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for East Dubuque, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-11-1.

West Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Dubuque, they will face off against Dodgeville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dodgers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
