Softball Recap: Mattanawcook Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Mattanawcook won the last time they faced Dexter and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lynx blew past the Tigers 9-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lynx.

Julianna Cloukey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Megan House was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Cyr, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Mattanawcook's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Mattanawcook will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Lee Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dexter, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Bucksport at 4:30 p.m. The Golden Bucks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
