Basketball Game Preview: Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats vs. Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors

The Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilbur-Creston-Keller is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Last Saturday, Wilbur-Creston-Keller didn't have too much trouble with Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame as they won 51-33.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brystal Neilsen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Neilsen has scored at least a third of Wilbur-Creston-Keller's points. Another player making a difference was Kaidyn Maioho, who posted ten points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Almira-Coulee-Hartline unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Valley Christian 50-46.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Things could have been worse for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-24 loss to Almira-Coulee-Hartline in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Wilbur-Creston-Keller avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
