Baseball Recap: Menifee County Comes Up Short

Menifee County fell victim to Jackson City and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Tigers. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Menifee County has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Jackson City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-11.

While Menifee County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
