Basketball Game Preview: Central Academy Falcons vs. Washtenaw Christian Academy Wildcats

The Central Academy Falcons will square off against the Washtenaw Christian Academy Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Central Academy duked it out withUniversal Academy on Monday. Central Academy walked away with a 59-50 victory over Universal Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Washtenaw Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Monclova Christian Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 69-68.

Washtenaw Christian Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Central Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Central Academy came up short against Washtenaw Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 52-39. Can Central Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
