Baseball Recap: Canton Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Neshoba Central, Canton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Raymond Rangers by a score of 12-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Jahmad Taylor was incredible, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Sadrevian Devine, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

The win got Canton back to even at 1-1. As for Raymond, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Canton will face off against Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Raymond, they will take on Terry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
